RoofMetric vs AccuLynx

Both are roofing-only, which makes this a more direct comparison than most. The real split is company size: AccuLynx is built around production management for established firms, RoofMetric around getting a bid out fast at a price a small crew can carry.

The short version

AccuLynx is a full roofing business platform: job costing, production scheduling, material ordering, labor tracking and reporting, aimed at firms with crews to coordinate and an office to run.

RoofMetric covers the front half of that job, measurement through signed estimate and payment, at a published flat price. It does less on the production side and does not pretend otherwise.

On pricing. AccuLynx publishes some pricing information but not a complete list; the figure you pay is quoted. RoofMetric publishes every tier: $29 a month for one user, $49 for up to five, $99 for up to ten and $199 for up to twenty. Check AccuLynx’s own pricing page for their current figures, and ours for ours. A competitor’s price quoted on someone else’s website goes stale the day they change it.

When RoofMetric is the better fit

Questions people actually ask

Is RoofMetric an AccuLynx alternative for a small roofing company?

For a one to ten person operation, usually yes, because most of what AccuLynx charges for is production management that a small crew coordinates by phone anyway. The honest limit: if you are costing labor against jobs and scheduling multiple crews, you will feel the missing half quickly. That is a real feature gap, not a positioning difference.

How much does AccuLynx cost compared to RoofMetric?

AccuLynx does not publish a complete price list, so the number you would pay is quoted. RoofMetric publishes all of it: $29 a month for one user, $49 for up to five, $99 for up to ten, $199 for up to twenty, and unlimited roof measurement at every tier. When you compare, add whatever you currently spend on measurement reports to the other side.

Does AccuLynx include roof measurements?

Aerial measurement reports can be ordered through it, billed per report, which is the same economics as ordering from EagleView directly. RoofMetric traces the roof from satellite imagery in the app with no per-roof charge, and can also measure on site with iPhone LiDAR and AR.

What does AccuLynx do better?

Production. Job costing, crew and labor scheduling, material staging and reporting against completed work are its core and are genuinely deeper than anything here. If those are the parts of your business that hurt, it is the better tool and price is not the deciding factor.

Can I run both during a switch?

Yes, and for a few weeks it is the sensible way to do it. Put new jobs in one system and let open jobs finish in the other. There is no importer between the two, so plan on a CSV export of customers rather than a full history migration.

The rest of the job, not just the measurement

Comparing us with AccuLynx usually stops at measurement and price. Over a year the difference people actually feel is what happens between jobs: the call that comes in while you are on a roof, and the receipts that decide what the job really earned.

Front Desk: a business line that rings your phone

A real business phone number for your company, built in. Place and answer calls, keep a shared call log the whole team can see, and text customers from a number that is not your cell. Incoming calls ring your iPhone with the standard call screen, on the lock screen, whether the app is open or closed. Every paid plan includes a real business phone number, free, with 120 minutes a month. See how Front Desk works.

Tax Central: expenses, receipts and W-9s

Track business expenses by job and by Schedule C category, so profit per job is a number you can see rather than one you work out in January. Scan a receipt with your camera, and collect a signed W-9 from every subcontractor you pay.

Timeclock: clock in from the truck, approve from the office

Your crew clocks in and out from the app with a location stamp on every punch, logs breaks as they take them, and submits each shift for approval when it ends. Owners, admins and team leaders approve or correct time for the people under them, and approved hours export as a CSV for payroll. Included with Platinum and Enterprise at no charge. On every other paid plan it is a flat monthly add-on for the whole company, not per user, and trials can use it during the trial. See what each plan includes.

Front Desk, Tax Central and Timeclock, answered

Does RoofMetric include a business phone number?

Yes. Every paid plan includes a real business phone number at no extra cost, with 120 minutes a month. You pick your own local number in about thirty seconds. Calls and texts run from the app or a browser and always show the business number rather than a personal cell, and every call files itself against the customer it came from.

What does the AI receptionist actually do?

Turn on the AI receptionist and she answers when you cannot. She knows your services, your hours and your service area, books estimates straight onto your calendar, takes a message when the caller needs a person, and emails you the recording and a summary. Both sides are told the call is recorded, and recording can be switched off. It is optional: the business line works on its own with your team answering.

Do incoming calls ring the phone when the app is closed?

Yes, on iPhone. Front Desk calls ring with the standard iPhone call screen, on the lock screen, whether the app is open, in the background or closed, and appear in Recents like any other call. An Android build is in development with no release date announced.

Can I track expenses and 1099 paperwork in RoofMetric?

Yes, in Tax Central. Track business expenses by job and by Schedule C category, scan a receipt with your camera to fill in the vendor, amount and category, and collect a signed W-9 from every subcontractor you pay. Taxpayer numbers are encrypted and shown only as the last four digits.

Does RoofMetric have a timeclock for my crew?

Yes. Timeclock lets each person clock in and out from the app, pick the job they are on, and log breaks as they take them, with a location stamp on every punch. Shifts are submitted for approval when they end; owners and admins see everyone, team leaders see the people under them, and employees request corrections rather than editing the record. Approved hours export as a CSV for payroll. Included with Platinum and Enterprise at no charge. On every other paid plan it is a flat monthly add-on for the whole company, not per user, and trials can use it during the trial.
